I will work hard to be the best in the world at Real Madrid - Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard revealed his ambition to become the best player in the world during his time at Real Madrid after completing his transfer from Chelsea.

Hazard was presented in front of 50,000 fans at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeuas that he appeared in the famous white kit for the first time.

Before speaking to the media in the press room, Hazard and Florentino Perez made speeches to the crowd inside the Bernabeu, with the president speaking first.

"Today is a very special day for Real Madrid," said Perez.

"A wonderful player who is capable of doing incredible things is coming.

"The legend of Madrid must continue with the best players in the world and we want to say these words for a long time: today Eden Hazard joins Real Madrid, this
is where you have to be."

Cheers erupted from the crowd as Hazard went to the microphone and waved around the stadium.

"Thank you very much, President, thank you very much to my family," Hazard said.

"I'm very excited to start playing for Real Madrid next month and win many trophies.

"My dream was to play in Madrid since I was a child, thank you all."

After parading on the field in his Real Madrid kit, Hazard dressed again to talk to the media alongside Emilio Butragueno.

Hazard's long-term affiliation with Los Blancos is not a secret, while he has always been an admirer of Zinedine Zidane.

"I dreamed about it since I was little, I always supported Real Madrid," Hazard said. "So I went to France and England and wearing this shirt now is a real honor.

"This is good for me and my family, because we are all excited to come to Real Madrid, maybe my mother a little more [than we]. I'm really looking forward to
 starting the new season."

"Everyone knows that Zidane was my idol and now he is my coach, he has been an important factor. But I always wanted to play in this club."

With Hazard now on the team, Zidane now has a variety of options to choose from on the attack, so where does the Belgian want to play?

"I've always liked to play left or number 10, but it's not my decision," he said.

"When you play at Real Madrid, there is not only a star, I am the new guy on the team and I will try to give my best.

"My goal is to have fun, win games and win trophies. I want to create history with Real Madrid."

Hazard has suffered penalties for most of his career, whether with Chelsea or Belgium, but he does not expect Sergio Ramos to hand over the foul charges to him at
Real Madrid.

"The captain is very penalized. If he asks me, what I think he will not, I will take them," said the attacker.

Having used the number 10 shirt at Chelsea and Belgium, Hazard admitted he had asked Luka Modric if he could do it at the Bernabeu.

"I was lucky enough to talk to Modric through [Matthew] Kovacic. I asked him if he would let me have his number 10 as a joke and he said no," he smiled.

"The number is not important to me, the badge is."

Hazard also had the opportunity to speak to Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid and is close friend of the goalkeeper.

"He told me I could not have doubts, he's a friend to me," Hazard said of Courtois's advice. "He told me he's the best club in the world.

After his stellar performances in Russia last summer, there were rumors that Real Madrid would move to him last summer and Hazard admitted that there was contact
 made.

"It all started after the World Cup, but I stayed for another year at Chelsea," he said. "It was a great year for us. This was the best time to sign for Real Madrid.

"I spoke to Florentino at a party in London and he told me that now was the best time to play for Real Madrid."

When asked if he thought he could become the best player on the planet in his new club, Hazard admitted that it is part of his aspirations.

"I'll try to be the best in the world, yes," he said. "But first, I want us to be the best team and win titles. It's a new challenge for me and I'm prepared for that.

"The Ballon d'Or is at Real Madrid this year with Luka Modric, I do not know if it is easier to win at Real Madrid, although many Real Madrid players have won, but
I am focused on the collective." If all goes well, why not? It's in my head, but I'm not obsessed with it.

"I'm not a Galactic, but I'll try to be. For now, I'm Eden Hazard.

"I'm coming to support the group with my experience, my dribbling, my goals ... I'll try to do everything to win every game.

"In football, I've always been told that you can improve, there are always ways to improve, either individually or collectively, and everyone hopes to improve their
performance.

Hazard was seen as someone to bring back the glory days to Real Madrid after a weak campaign have seen them without a trophy.

"I focused a lot on Chelsea," Hazard said. "I know there have been bad times, but the club has won a lot in the last five years. Every club has its ups and downs.

"Real Madrid have won many trophies recently and hope to start a new era of winning many titles."
